All you need this February are some hugs and kisses, and, of course, to get organized with a February XOXO Bullet Journal Theme.

This month, I decided to share not just one, but two bullet journal posts. If you haven’t seen the other one yet, don’t forget to check out my February Hearts Bullet Journal.

The reason for this is that the previous journal was left over from last year, and I didn’t have time to upload it. For the new journal, I once again chose a Valentine’s Day theme because, let’s face it, hearts are my favorite.

I began by crafting the background, opting for a lovely stamp filled with XOXOs across the entire page. Initially, I considered a light pink color palette, but I changed my mind and went for a bold red, which complements the Valentine’s Day mood perfectly.

Since I don’t own a stamping block this big, I had to improvise on how to stamp. I used the stamp as it is and pressed it really well with my hands and my existing small stamping block.

For this project, in order to avoid smudging, I recommend drying your ink with a heat gun between stamping. Additionally, secure the areas you don’t want to paint with washi tape or scrap paper.

Despite the background being impressive enough to stand on its own, I decided to enhance it by adding a few adorable animals holding heart balloons. This is a stamp set I had bought a while back and wanted to use it for so long.

Using my new Ohuhu markers (a gift from Santa for being so good last year), I colored the animals and the hearts with different colors.  I have never used alcohol markers before and I absolutelly love the way they blend. 

Inside the balloons, I wrote the syllables of February as a title. Initially, I planned to use a balloon for each letter, but adjustments were necessary to accommodate my page dimensions.

Though I initially opted for rose gold, finding it a tad too dark for my taste, I made a spontaneous shift to a vibrant gold marker. With that, the cover page is now complete.

Moving on to the calendar, I created a red grid and used a brown pen for the letters and numbers.

Once again, I stamped the side of the calendar for an extra touch. Although I considered using different pink-red shades for each page, I ultimately decided against it and went with one color of ink for every page.

Of course, I added an adorable animal for decoration. Here’s a pro tip: if you didn’t stamp the background correctly, you can glue the figure in place. Lastly, I added an extra figure to the last days of the calendar, completing the page.

Now, onto the To-Do page. With washi tape attached to the backside, I glued a piece of cardstock in the middle of the page.

I stamped on top of it, and upon removal, I was left with a cute bubble where I could write this month’s To-Do list.

Don’t worry, I won’t throw away the extra paper; instead, I’ll use it to make a Valentine’s Day card (stay tuned to see how it turns out).

Using my red marker, I wrote the title and added a decorative figure. Pretty simple and straightforward, right?

Next up is the Expenses spread. For this, I secured the area I wanted to stamp with washi tape and paper, adding a washi tape strip in the middle to save space for the title.

After stamping the design, removing the washi tape, and writing the title, I defined the title box with a brown marker. I created three columns without marking the rows.

Of course, I added the cute animal at the bottom of the page. Make sure to glue it in a place that leaves you plenty of space to write your expenses.

I followed the same process for the second page of the Expenses spread, this time stamping the bottom of the page.

One thing left to do, let’s talk about the mood trackers.

Again, I stamped the title box’s background as before and then wrote the title.

For tracking, I chose fewer categories than in other months since I am currently redefining my schedule.

The concept is simple: every day, I mark a tick in the relevant box for habits I’ve completed and one for each glass of water I drink. When making the calendar, I forgot that this year February has 29 days. No worries, you can simply add an extra row.

Finally, for the mood tracker, I was a bit conflicted. Initially considering stamping many balloon hearts, I then saw my background stamp and recognized an opportunity to make it the main focus point in the tracker.

I stamped the design, and inside the Os, I wrote the dates. The concept is that every day, I will color an O according to my mood.

I liked this idea because it allows me to make the most of my materials.

Supplies you will need to make the February bullet journal ΧΟΧΟ theme.

The main focus for this month’s bullet journal was the Simon Says Cling Stamp XOXO BACKGROUND stamp, a lovely addition to your romantic stamps.

For the cute animals, I used the Mama Elephant Clear Stamps UP WITH LOVE with the coordinating die set. To stamp my background, I used the vibrant Tim Holtz Distress Lumberjack Plaid Oxide Ink Pad And Reinker Bundle Ranger, which is a beautiful vivid red that you’ll want to add to your supplies.

To mark my moods, I used Tombow’s Crimson- 847, Hot Pink- 743, Burnt Sienna- 947, Pink Punch- 803,  Port Red- 757, Red- 905, Pale Cherry-912, Yellow Gold-026, Process Yellow-055.

Also for the words I used Stabilo’s  88/89 Dark Ochre marker. 

Of course, as I mentioned before, I used Ohuhu Dual Tips Alcohol Art Markers to color the cute animals.
