July is here, and I can’t believe we’re already in the middle of summer!

I didn’t have much time to craft this month, but I was determined to create a summer-themed bullet journal spread. So, I went with a July Under-the-Sea Bullet Journal Theme.

I kicked things off by sketching with a pencil the elements for the cover page. Then, I used masking liquid to protect them while I painted the sea floor in a light sand brown color.

The masking liquid was super easy to remove—just a quick rub with my hand.

Next, I dived into painting my cover page.

I wanted my ocean floor to feature an anchor, some starfish, and a bunch of sea shells.

I even added a jellyfish for some extra flair.

To make everything pop, I outlined the elements with a black marker. For the month, I went with a nice blue hue.

Creating the To Do page, Memories page, Calendar and Expenses page.

Of course, I added a to-do page. To spice it up, I threw in a few plants, a jellyfish, a starfish, and a sea shell.

Then, I added a Memories page. I wasn’t really feeling a tracker page this month, so I decided to go with a memories page to capture all the summer vibes.

With a highlighter I made two boxes for writing memories or gluing pictures and mementos.

I only added one page, but if you have lots of plans for July, definitely add more space.

And, of course, a bullet journal isn’t complete without a calendar.

For this spread, I made a weekly calendar. I used a highlighter to mark each day with a line and wrote the date on it.

As for the weekend, I split the days in half to make the page look more balanced.

Each page is decorated with different sea creatures to keep the theme going.

Lastly, I added an expenses page. Nothing fancy, just the title and a few decorations.

Supplies you will need to make the July Under-the-Sea Bullet Journal Theme.

To paint the July Bullet Journal I used the following Tombow markers: 992, 942, 020, 090, 905, 993, 026, 912, 947, 533, 803, N89, 755, 373. I also used Stabilo’s pastel highlighter No 70/111.

To mask the designs I used the Winsor & Newton Watercolor Medium, Art Masking Fluid.

To outline everything, I used the SAKURA Pigma Micron 01 Fineliner Pen to give it that finishing touch.
