Valentine’s Day is around the corner, and this Charming Valentine’s Day Card is sure to bring that magical feeling into the air.
Coloring the figures of the Charming Valentine’s Day Card.
This is such a simple, yet cute card to make.
I started by stamping and cutting out the figures. Then, I started coloring the shapes.
I painted the self and the stool a nice dark brown.
After that, I moved on to painting the cauldron, for which I used three different shades of gray, darker ones on the edges to make shadows, and two layers of lighter gray to blend it all together.
Then, it is time for those cute cats! For the first cat, I went with brown colors.
I began with darker colors on the edges and added lighter ones on top.
You can make it as dark as you want. Since I wanted it a bit darker, I added another coat of the lighter marker.
For the second cat, I used gray markers and kept the colors lighter.
Now, onto the fun part: the bubbles of the love potion!
I used lots of pinks, light purples, and reds. I shaded the lines around the bubbles with different colors and then blended them all together with a lighter pink.
I also used some darker shades for the bubbles to mix them up. And, of course, for the magic setup, we need some vials.
I painted them with pink hues to match the rest of the colors. Finally, I painted the books, sticking to the color theme.
Assembling the Charming Valentine’s Day Card.
Time for some finishing touches! To make the bubbles extra sparkly, I added red and pink glitter.
I also used a different stamp set to add some cute love details to the books and vials. It’s not necessary, but I had the set, so why not?
Also I added a few lines with a white pen, which really made everything pop.
Now, let’s put it all together. I spent some time wondering whether to color the background.
I thought about staining it or adding a brick wall, but I decided to keep it simple.
I placed the figures on the card to see how much space I had and then stamped the message.
Finally, I glued a few heart-shaped confetti pieces around the card for that extra touch of love. And just like that, the card is ready!
