Nothing says spring quite like a fresh bouquet of flowers in a beautiful vase.

There’s just something about the sight and scent of flowers that instantly lifts the mood and brings a touch of nature indoors.

So why not capture that same feeling in your planner? That’s exactly what I set out to do with my Interactive April bullet journal flower spread!

It’s been a while since my last post—life and work have been exhausting lately—but I finally carved out some time to put together a spread I’ve been dreaming about for ages.

And now, I get to share it with you! This interactive April bullet journal flower spread is one of my favorites, and I hope it brings you as much joy as it did for me while creating it.

To start, I focused on the centerpiece of my spread: the vase.

I wanted something small and charming, nothing too overwhelming but still eye-catching. If you try this yourself, make sure to leave enough space at the top of the page—this is where the magic happens with the flowers!

I sketched a simple outline of a vase and decided to give it a little extra character by adding a delicate bow.

Just a tiny detail, but it makes all the difference.

To add more personality, I decorated the vase with red horizontal stripes (because I absolutely love striped pottery!) and painted the bow a lovely shade of pink.

Now, here comes the interactive part! With an X-Acto knife, I carefully cut a small slit at the rim of the vase.

This allows the flowers to slide in and out, making the spread not only beautiful but also functional.

For the flowers, I chose to draw roses on red cardstock.

If you’re confident in your drawing skills, go ahead and sketch directly onto your page.

But if freehand drawing isn’t your thing, here’s a handy trick: turn your phone’s brightness all the way up, search for a simple rose doodle, and place your paper over the screen to trace it. Easy and effective!

I made three roses and attached thin green paper strips as stems before slipping them into the vase opening.

To complete the effect, I glued my cover page onto the next page to create a pocket.

Then, with a pink marker, I wrote the name of the month in a playful, handwritten style.

Now, the roses could be tucked in and pulled out, making my interactive April bullet journal flower spread truly dynamic and fun to use!

For my calendar section, I kept things simple yet stylish.

I created a neat grid, wrote the days in red pen, and added a soft pink hue to the boxes to give it a warm, inviting look.

On the right side of the page, I sketched a few loose roses.

I didn’t overthink them—sometimes, the best doodles come when you just go with the flow!

Adding an “Expenses” page and a “Tracker” page to the bullet journal.

One of my absolute favorite parts of this spread is the mood tracker.

I drew five different vases, each with its own unique shape and personality. I love how each one stands out!

Of course, I had to fill them with roses, numbering each one to correspond with the days of the month.

When it came to coloring, I chose various shades of pink and red, but you can experiment with whatever colors speak to you—yellow, orange, purple, or even blue if you’re feeling adventurous!

For the expenses tracker, I kept things minimal. I glued a few extra roses at the top of the page and added my budget categories.

I wasn’t in the mood for anything overly elaborate here, but the small floral touch still made it cohesive with the rest of the spread.

At this point, I could have called it done.

But I love when my bullet journal is both beautiful and functional, so I took it one step further.

On the back of the roses on the cover page, I added my habit trackers!

I created a mini calendar for each habit, and every time I complete one, I’ll cross off a day.

It’s such a satisfying way to keep track of progress while still keeping the aesthetic of my interactive April bullet journal flower spread intact.

Supplies you will need to make the Strawberry-themed March Bullet Journal.

For this spread you can use various types of colors for the roses.

To mark my moods and to write the titles I used Tombow’s 755 Rubine Red, 772 Dusty Rose, 757 Port Red, 803 Pink Punch, 847 Crimson, 158 Dark Olive, 743 Hot pink, 850 Light Apricot.

Also I used Stabilo’s 88/40 Red. To outline everything, I used the SAKURA Pigma Micron 01 Fineliner Pen to give it that finishing touch.

Lastly, the bullet journal I use is the the Tsuki ‘Maple Moon’ Limited Edition Bullet Journal.
