May is a month full of light and flowers. So let’s get organized together with this floral May bullet journal.
Creating the May bullet journal cover page.
For this spread, I used washi tapes to decorate the page.
With a pencil, I first wrote the word May, and then I traced the letters with a dark green marker.
Also, I added a few extra lines to the letters to make them thicker in places and to make them look calligraphic.
To decorate the page, I added floral washi tape on top and the bottom of the page. It really suits the May theme and gives a spring vibe.
Then, using scissors, I cut the girl and the bag from a second washi tape roll and glued them on the bottom of the page.
Of course, a floral spring spread needs a butterfly to be complete. Also, that is an easy way to add a pop of color to the journal.
Lastly, I used a stamp to add some green splashes around the page. And with that, the cover page is ready!
Creating the calendar for the May bullet journal spread.
To draw the monthly calendar I used a light brown marker for the lines and a dark green marker for the days of the week.
Usually, I leave some space for decoration on the left of the page, but this time I left some on the right for a change and decorated it with washi tape.
For the dates, I added small green, round stickers and wrote the numbers on them. If you don’t have dots stickers, you can draw the circles using a marker.
Finally, I added a few figures around the spread for decoration. I placed the stickers between dates, in order to have room to write on the boxes.
Adding a “To do” page, an “Expenses” page, and a “Tracker” page to the bullet journal.
Next page I did the “To-Do” page. For this, I added sticker dots to mark the tasks.
I plan that every time I finish a task to tick in the circle.
I finished the page by adding a washi tape border on the bottom of the page, along with two figures.
For the expenses page, I extended the border on the bottom of the page, and then using the same brown and green markers I added lines and named the columns.
I finished the page by adding a girl and a butterfly sticker. I also decorated the backside of the expenses pages, because one page is never enough, but this time I added the border on top of the page.
Lastly, I added the trackers. For this month I chose again a water consumption tracker and an exercise tracker.
Now I know that May has 31 days, but since I didn’t want to spoil the balance of the tracker by adding an extra day, I went with 30 and added a strip of washi tape at the bottom of the page.
If you want to have 31 days just add another row instead of a border. To finish the page I added a butterfly and it is done!
Materials I used to create the May bullet journal spread.
The washi tapes I used to decorate the calendar are the Marguerite Wide Washi Tape and the Moment In Time Wide Washi / PET Tape.
The marker I used for the cover page is the Tombow 379-Jade Green. For the rest of the pages I used Stabilo markers 88/88 brown and 88/51 green.
The stamp set I used is the Stamperia CREATE HAPPINESS ELEMENTS Clear Stamps paired with the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad EVERGREEN BOUGH Ranger.
Lastly you will need some red butterflies and green dots.
Unfortunately, since I have bought them long time ago, I don’t have a link for the exact same products, but you can use any type of similar product.
Thank you so much for reading. Don’t forget to check out the April bullet journal post.
