This Valentine’s Liquid Shaker card made with Lawn Fawn’s stamps is the most fun and adorable Valentine’s card you will ever make!

Stamping you card’s design with Lawn Fawn’s “Wood  you be mine” stamp set.

Start creating your Valentine’s Liquid Shaker card by stamping the design using Lawn Fawn’s “Wood you be mine” stamp set.

I began by stamping the card elements. It is better to start with this step so the ink can dry before adding color.

For the main element of the card I selected the adorable couple of beavers eating a heart, which will become the window for the liquid shaker.

I also used the two logs from the set to add some wood décor to the beaver-themed card.

Then, I stamped multiple sets of grass and cattail plants for the river bank.

Finally, I stamped a bow to accessorize one of the beavers. 

After the ink dried, I painted the figures with Tombow markers.

I used a lighter brown for the beavers’ main body to distinguish them from the logs and to be able to see their faces.

Of course you can use any kind of paint you have.

Creating the river bank background.

The next step is to create the river bank background.

I used blue and brown inks and taped the bottom of the card with washi tape to keep it clean from the blue inks.

For the river, I used four different shades from dark blue to green to create the river.

After I painted the river, I removed the washi tape and stained the protected part brown.

I used a blending tool instead of a brush to make the color more intense.

Creating the filling for the Valentine’s Liquid Shaker card.

To make the filling for the liquid shaker, you will need clear gel and some sort of color (you can use ink, food color, pigment powder etc).

I used clear gel shampoo but you can also use hand soap, hair gel, or baby oil (the latter will give a more liquid result). You can also use a gel that already has color.

I added pigment powder, glitter, and chunky glitter hearts to the mix.

After blending everything together, put it in a clear zip-lock bag and make sure to close it well.

Adding finishing touches to the Valentine’s Liquid Shaker card.

It’s time to add the finishing touches to the Valentine’s Liquid Shaker card!

Place the beavers and log in the center of the card to know where to stamp the sentiment.

I chose the “I chews you” text because it was too cute and matched the beavers eating the heart.

After stamping the sentiment, mark with a pencil where the heart will be cut out.

Cut out the opening using an exacto knife. It doesn’t have to be perfect because it will be covered by the beaver’s die cut.

Also, you need to cut a piece of the log where it intersects with the heart.

I die-cut two more hearts, right and left from the sentiment, for additional windows for the liquid shaker.

To glue everything together I used white craft glue.

Glue the beavers and log together, then place them on the heart window. Don’t forget to add the bow!

Since the stamp set has wave stamps, I added some using dark blue ink to make the river look more interesting.

Then glue the smaller log and plants, placing the plants at different heights for a more natural look.

Lastly, glue the zip lock bag on the card base using double-sided tape.

Because the bag is a little bit bulky I used double-sided foam tape to glue my background card on the card base.

Your card is now ready! Squishing the liquid shaker and seeing the liquid through the windows is so much fun.

Materials I used for the Valentine’s Liquid Shaker card.  

The main thing that you will need for this cards is the  Lawn Fawn SET WOOD YOU BE MINE? Clear Stamps and Dies.

Personally I like to buy stamps with coordinate dies, but if you don’t have a die-cutting machine or if you want to spare some money you can cut the figures by hand. 

I also used some elements from the Lawn Fawn SET SO DAM MUCH Clear Stamps and Dies, but you can easily make this card even if you don’t have it.

To paint the stamped shapes I used Tombow markers. I used the 990, Light Sand  for the beavers’ main body and the edges of the logs and the 912, Pale Cherry for the beavers’ tails.

I also used the 772, Blush to paint the beavers’ noses, cheeks and the bow.

For the plants I used the 192,Aspargus and the 026, Yellow Gold.

Lastly, for the tree trunk I used the 947, Burn Sienna.

To paint the background I used Distress inks. I used on the whole page the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad BROKEN CHINA and the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad PEACOCK FEATHERS. I also used the  Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad MERMAID LAGOON mostly at the bottom of the page and the waves and the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad EVERGREEN BOUGH mostly on the top of the page.

For the ground I used the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad VINTAGE PHOTO and I stamped everything using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad BLACK SOOT.

To color my gel I used Pentart’s Rub-on pigment Chrome Effect, Rose gold. Very similar to this is the Stamperia NEBULA ROSE Stardust Metallic Pigment.

Also for the glitter you can use any type of glitter you have. If you want chunky hearts you can use the Studio Katia HEARTS Chunky Glitter .

Lastly the paper I used to make this card is the Winsor and Newton A5 Drawing Pad Medium 220gsm.
